A number of Democrats sought to take advantage of Jim Bunning's filibuster of the bill to extend unemployment insurance benefits:

Jim Bunning's actions show that Republicans are out of touch with the everyday concerns of American families who are worried about paying for groceries and their children's medical care in these troubled times. The American people want help, they want jobs, they want action - Jim Bunning and the Republicans need to lend a hand or step aside.
